katie + paxton
october 2020
With an October wedding, Katie opted for deep burgundy and wine colors in her bouquet to match the dark, romantic theme of the wedding. We added pops of soft blush roses and ranunculus to offset the black and deep red dahlias. Soft ferns, whimsical ruscus and three varieties of eucalyptus contributed to the “wild romantic” feel of these bridal party bouquets. One of my favorite pieces was the tiny flower girl’s bouquet—centered around a giant pink dahlia. Two large, gold frame centerpieces topped with booming floral arrangements stood on either side of the bride and groom at the ceremony and were then moved to the reception entryway after the service. We continued these gold framed arrangements on to the family tables in the dining area and it was such a great way to add lots of flowers to the table without obstructing your guests’ view. The reception space was really brought to life with fabric draped from the ceilings and dark tablecloths + place settings. We added a ruscus garland at the head table in between the centerpieces to mimic the garland under the seating chart in the reception entry. For the rest of the guest tables, we loosely laid ruscus, ferns and eucalyptus, woven with carnations in deep purples, reds and soft pink.
This was truly one of my favorite weddings to execute, as Katie was so organized and had some great ideas in mind for their big day. Scroll for more stunning photos of Katie + Paxton and their families from their wedding in Omaha, NE.
